Whether you are a budding writer or an established author, if you seek help to move your writing forward join us and try for yourself our regular workshops, critique sessions and talks.
Some of our members are published writers and our history, of more than twenty years, is peppered with success stories representing all genres including poetry, fiction, non-fiction and script writing. We meet monthly to offer each other constructive support and encouragement. What we have in common is a keen interest in improving our technique within a friendly group.
Why not come along at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of next month (your first visit is free of charge or obligation) and find out if it’s for you.
Please click the Events/Meetings tab above to see our calendar of activities. You’ll never be pressurised to share anything, or offer feedback, unless you volunteer to do so. Our meetings provide opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere; it’s up to you whether you take advantage of them.
Several of our members are published writers - some have self-published, others have had stories and articles published in magazines.
Meetings comprise a mixture of outside speakers, workshops, discussion and reading and appraisal of members’ work in progress.
We run several in house competitions each year which are usually judged by one of our speakers.
